Diabetes Linked To Obesity

According to the March 2009 study published by the American Journal of Medicine "Obesity is a primary risk factor for patients with type 2 diabetes and 90% of all patients with type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese, according to the study ."

"Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, the way the body uses digested food for growth and energy the most common form of diabetes is type 2, called noninsulin-dependent diabetes (NIDDM) Ninety to 95 percent of the people .. with type 2 diabetes this form of diabetes usually develops in adults older than 40 years, and it is most common among adults over 55 years. diabetes is widely recognized as one of the leading causes of death and disability in the United States. diabetes is associated with long-term complications that affect the almost every major body part. It can cause blindness, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, amputations, nerve damage and birth defects in babies born to women with diabetes ."

"Ninety percent of all patients with type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese" - should start thinking of obesity as well as more than being just a few pounds overweight? It seems to me, 67-year-old man who had finally got so sick that the tub and fats - and the loss of confidence by the day, I went on a diet in an effort to save his life, or at the very least to prevent type 2 diabetes , a heart attack or stroke.

Why would we want to play Russian roulette with our health? However, we fear that the reason we play this deadly game is out of ignorance about food and how they affect our way of life and our overall health.

The government is trying to tell us that we should not smoke - and where we can, we must buckle up when driving our cars, we can and can not say (political correctness as a soft-porn version of the rape of the Constitution and freedom of speech) and now want to dictate what kinds of foods you should or should not eat ... all because those in political power right now to think we're too stupid to do this voluntarily.

Let me jump off my soapbox for a moment and deal with real problems here in relation to mandate common sense.

We all know that if you smoke cigarettes, play Russian roulette. There is no man or woman (or teen or pre-teen) on this planet who has not been educated in the media that inhaling tobacco, pot, nicotine, tar, etc. will be reduced to our health over time - either directly kill us. However, some of us (not me) choose to play a deadly game with our bodies. My brother is so addicted to nicotine that he is still smoking - after living through two of the death sentence of cancer, and he knows that smoking will seek your life! Go figure. I smoked when I was five years of growth in the inner city of Roxbury, Massachusetts, and I have stopped those deaths when they were held only $ 0.40 a package (which you had to get tough or die!) -. 3rd August 1975

We all know that if we fail to wear the belt, the likelihood of our becoming maimed or killed in a car wreck is higher, so we buttoned-up. We should not be punished for not wearing seat belts. It is more government intrusion into our lives. What the government is saying, "It's okay if you do not wear your seat belt, but if you catch, you must pay us a $ 150.00 fine, and we're letting your insurance company is also to collect another $ 150.00 a year for six years. So we are forced (against our will) do as we instructed. it irks me

Now, we are told, politicians as high up the food chain as you can get (the White House, and Michelle Obama) that we eat this or that, but not another. I need not remind you of hypocrisy involved here, "Do as I say, not as I do" mentalitet.Super Bowl menu at the White House are all "crap food" that we are told not to eat! Bratwurst, kielbasa, cheeseburgers, deep dish pizza, Buffalo wings, German potato salad, twice baked potatoes, Snyder's potato chips and pretzels, chips and dips, salads (whoa!), and let's not forget the ice cream and assorted August and beer.

Now, let the real truth here. I want to assure you, not to beat the submission or fined or threatened -. Think about the food you take into your body and why they should want to live longer and healthier life

I weighed 225 pounds in July 2010. I looked in the mirror and saw this big, fat lump of a man starting back at me. I tried the baby back in 1995, but dropped out after a while - because I got to understand foods such as sugar, cereals, starch, salt, -. Carbohydrates and what they can do for me if I took them into my body in large quantities

I was the first step. I went to a big chain bookstore to buy a child I loved the 1995, but they did not have the book, so I perused the racks and came up with one that seemed as if feeling for my use. Then I began to learn all about the food, and includes a menu for yourself from the list of carbohydrates that were available at the local store. I did not want to go pre-packaged meal time because it would be too expensive for my limited budget.

Due to the limited word count that I may, I'll have to get to the end of the story faster than I want. When I arrived at my primary care office for my exam, he could not believe my eyes - or his blood test results! I lost all but 5 pounds by then. My stomach size reduced 6-34 "," My waist has gone from 38th. "- Something not seen since my marriage in 1967 my BMI was 26 my HDL increased from 53 My triglycerides dropped 153 points by 84 -.. very healthy number. My calcium (bone density), the results were just perfect. My sugar blood glucose (blood sugar) was just perfect ... and my blood pressure was 117/73, on average, two weeks after I started on a lower carbohydrate. He undressed me Lisonopril to the results of my 120 days of testing to see if I can do do matter and if I could adopt this diet for life.

Now, like February. I still weigh the same, and can control their weight within two pounds going back to basics for a day. I eat bacon and eggs, coffee with cream in it. I can eat steak, lobstah (as we say in New England) I want all the fish, vegetables in abundance salad with blue cheese or ranch dressing. I even found less carbohydrate ice cream, and I enjoy Jell-O with Cool Whip on top!

I have learned as sugars and all that tends to be the culprit in unhealthy eating habits. Sugars caused me to crave more carbohydrates. I learned that the lack of salt can cause severe leg cramps. I was told (by friends) to eat salt substitutes, and not Columbus. I had severe leg cramps almost every night. I discovered, by accident, how valuable Real Salt was this machine called the body.

So, the bottom line is that ignorance of food is a problem with obesity. We must become educated in the use of carbohydrates, sugars, salts, vitamins, minerals, fish oil and many other things that can make our lives healthier and add years to our lives. It is not government mandate, a mandate they feed, for me, the wrong types of food to push on people. I speak from personal experience, and the results are telling the truth.
